Do you accept payment from the hosts you review?
We use affiliate links — yes. But rankings are never sold, and providers don't get advance review copies. If a host drops a tier in our retest, the affiliate revenue doesn't save them on the comparison table.
How often do you re-benchmark the providers?
Full benchmarks every quarter. Uptime probes run continuously and feed the table in near-real time. If anything moves more than two tiers, we publish a dedicated post explaining why.
What's the difference between shared, managed, and VPS hosting?
Shared is the cheapest — many sites on one server. Managed adds an opinionated stack tuned for one CMS (usually WordPress). VPS gives you isolated resources and more control. Our reviews are tagged so you can filter by what fits your build.
Can I trust uptime numbers self-reported by hosts?
Short answer: no. We run independent UptimeRobot and Pingdom probes from third-party data centers, and we publish the raw monthly figures alongside the host's own SLA claim. Discrepancies happen more often than you'd think.
